I think lt would be appropriate to start off with Hawaii first only because it is one of my favorite place to vacation. When I first landed at the Honolulu Airport I departed off the plane and was immediately hit with a very comfortable 80 degree temperature along with a warm tropical but not too humid Breeze caressing my face... I felt right then and there that I never wanted to leave!...And of course as I was heading out of the airport I was greeted buy a beautiful friendly Hawaiian girl who gifted me with a lei and an Aloha greeting.
Being that it was later in the afternoon I headed to the hotel in thecar that was waiting for me at the airport. I checked in and settled in to my room. A little later that evening I walked down to the main Boardwalk close to Waikiki Beach and started looking for a place to eat dinner... Walking along the boardwalk and looking at all the ABC stores on every corner! lol It was very enjoyable and it was fun to watch the mimes standing there like statues not moving at all! You could have swore that they were real statues until I seen one move! It was truly amazing how they could stand there so long without moving not to mention that they were all painted in silver
After a little bit more walking I found the place I just knew I had to go to eat... And what might that be? It could only be Jimmy Buffet's Beachcomber Cafe after having a great Hawaiian hamburger there with fresh pineapple I headed back to my hotel room for the evening. BTW
If You are into Chinese food you might want to try the Happy Day Seafood Restaurant. They have great Dim Sum! Also head to china town on the main board walk they have great outside kiosks that you could try... There is also a good chance you will find some good souvenir shopping while you are there! Day 2 The next morning I was up by 6 a.m. and headed down to the lobby to grab a cup of coffee and head outside the sun was just coming up.. I took a sip of my coffee and stopped! Thinking to myself what is this coffee that im drinking? I took another Sip and thought Oh my God this coffee is so good that I had to go back into the hotel lobby and ask the hotel clerk what the coffee was that they served there and that I've never tasted anything so good and so smooth before! He proceeded to tell me that it was Kona coffee... Needless to say I think I bought about 8 bags to take back home with me! Haha! A little later that morning I was off on my bus tour enjoying the beautiful scenery and the turquoise blue waters along the shoreline as I was headed to Hanauma Bay where Elvis Presley did Blue Hawaii..Note! Later that week I rented a car and made my way back to Hanauma bay with my snorkel gear that I purchased on the boardwalk and did some snorkeling If you want to do some snorkeling at Hanauma go here. It's such a beautiful Beach and its also protected from fishing so you can see all fish in there natural habitat. The fish were so beautiful and colorful with blue neon fish as well as yellow ones and the clown fish, moray eels and even seeing a sand shark! It's like you're swimming in an aquarium only you are in nature.
Anyways sorry I got a little side tracked! Back to my 2nd day.. After leaving Hanauma Bay we went to a pineapple farm and got some gifts and fresh pineapple and oh my gosh the pinapple was sooo sweet! nothing like having it straight from the fields! After leaving the plantation we headed to North Shore where the waves were absolutely amazing and huge people were surfing and having a great time!
Next stop on our tour after leaving North Shore we went to a Buddhist Chinese Garden and Temple it was so beautiful there was like being in Paradise which of course we were! Then it was on to a beautiful Hawaiian waterfall the water was so deep so beautiful blue it was like looking at a postcard I did not want to leave! Sadly it was time to head out and back to Waikiki beach.
When we were on our bus tour someone had told me during the day that I needed to go down to Waikiki Beach at sunset.. They said the sunsets there were so beautiful you wouldn't want to miss them.. So grabbing my camera I headed down to the beach to see if this was true and oh my God they were not joking! It seemed like every 5 Seconds there was a new picture to take of the sun going down. The way the Sun glanced off the water with the sailboats cruising out in front of you made the pictures even that much more awesome and beautiful it was like that every night.. I must have taken at least a thousand pictures while I was there! LOL
Of course no trip to Hawaii is complete without going to a luau and I surely did not want to miss out on that. So off I went and the evening was spectacular with pulled Kahlua pork being baked in the ground all day and the wonderful Hawaiian dishes that went along with it! Dinner was awesome while I was watching the fire dancers and hula girls that made it one perfect evening that I will never forget! If you are looking for a tropical vacation I would not leave this one out you will have the time of your life! They don't call it Blue Hawaii for nothing!
I hope you enjoyed my blog..Thanks for reading!
